Fedora stopped to load... blinking screen
 

hi there,

i'm desperate.

this moring i was trrying to open a huge text file with vi when suddenly all the windows disappeared.
an error message told me that it was not possible to save settings somewhere i don't remeber.
i decided to rebbot the laptop and then...

on the next booting phase, grgub loads, many items loads BUT when it loads XFS -> [OK]

then instead of entering in fedora it hangs to a screen in wich i should put

LOCALHOST LOGIN:

but

1) screen blinks: it turns to black, the text appears again, just to disappear one more time....
2) if i manage to put login root UN and PWD it tells me pwd is incorrect and fedora doesn't load.

please noticec that fedora never gave me any problems, and graphical appearence have always been good, without errors.

i'm not so expert, so i can only tell you that my files are still stored in directories.
i could load a LINUX RESCUE, but don't know what to do to check what has gone wrong and why i cannot enetr in fedora anymore...

please help me, since i cannot format oncee again my datas since they are quite important to me BUT didn't backuped them.

at leasti'd like to know how to deelete JUST OS leaving data alone.
