Fedora questions
So, fedora is based off of red hat, is Fedroa a final OS or is this just a test phase?
Are their advantages of running core 2 over 3? Does Fedora have captive NFTS? Does fedore still not include MP3 support? |
Fedora Core 1/2/3 are all final releases .. but as what Redhat said, it is a community release and not one of their commercial products. If you're looking for a commercially supported product, you should go for REL releases.
There are quite a number of improvements done to FC3, SELinux, new GNOME, KDE and many new nifty stuffs to list the least. Nope, no native NTFS and MP3 support. You need to go for 3rd parties for that. |
Is it hard to get NFTS working? i'm a n00b.
|
Nope, not hard at all .. what you need is to download the ntfs module RPM package from
http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/index.html For MP3 support for rhythmbox and xmms, you may want to visit livna repository at www.livna.org (IIRC). |
