Fedora On DVD
I downloaded Fedora Core4 Dvd iso and burnt it to a RW-DVD.
But i was surprised that the bios doesn't recognize the DVD so that mean the DVD will not auto boot from the bios. The bios only recognize my HD, CD & Removable disk What can i do to make the bios recognizes the DVD drive and auto boot the Fedora DVD to start the installation process??? You need to go back into your bios and change the Boot order of your drives.
Usually it's listed like this: floppy Hard Drive CD-ROM You need to change it so that it is listed this way: CD-ROM Hard Drive Floppy Once this is done you will be able to boot from any bootable CD or DVD Peace V |
good idea
but i still think that the problem in the bios software itself but i will try, and tell you the results
Thanks for your try |
The last computer I installed FC4 on had an old DVD drive that didn't recognise DVD-Rs. I had to switch in a newer drive from another computer, install from that, and then switch back once the install was complete.
