Fedora Kernel Panic
I've installed Fedora Core 1 on a separate drive and finally got it to boot through GRUB. I have WinXP on a separate drive. When I select Fedora as the OS, it attempts to load and gets to a point where this message is the last line
kernel panic no init found try passing init= option to kernel Obviously it stops. Linux is on HDA. I have two SCSI drives for the XP system on SDA & SDB. I've read about changing the init files, but am unsure of what needs to happen there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
'no init found' is misleading, it often means that the Linux partition could not be accessed, or it's the wrong partition. Please elaborate on your disk & partition configuration.
