Fedora Kernel Panic

I've installed Fedora Core 1 on a separate drive and finally got it to boot through GRUB. I have WinXP on a separate drive. When I select Fedora as the OS, it attempts to load and gets to a point where this message is the last line

kernel panic no init found try passing init= option to kernel

Obviously it stops.

Linux is on HDA. I have two SCSI drives for the XP system on SDA & SDB. I've read about changing the init files, but am unsure of what needs to happen there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

'no init found' is misleading, it often means that the Linux partition could not be accessed, or it's the wrong partition. Please elaborate on your disk & partition configuration.
