Fedora Core2

I am a newbie to Linux and have been experimenting with Linspire this last week. I have a 2 CD set of Fedora Core2 and was wondering if it is worth my while to switch over? I am dual booting with Windows XP at the moment and would like to keep it that way until I get comfortable with Linux and get all my devices to work properly. I have a second hard drive. Will I need to partition it again (Linspire/Lindows is on it now) or will Fedora know what to do? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

fc2, no need to repartition

I have been using fc2 since May (I think)...and it works for me. The biggest usability leap occurs when you get a good yum.conf file in place. If you go with fc2, I can post mine.

Since you already have a linux distro installed, things will go really smoothly. During installation, you can select the option of over-writing and installing only to partitions already set up for linux. It will leave windows alone.

Careful!

There is a dual boot bug in FC2 which could make your windows unbootable. It is fixable and there should be no data loss but best to avoid.

See http://lwn.net/Articles/86835/ for how to avoid it.
