Fedora Core 4 - Netconfig
I've been very used to using the netconfig command in Core 3, but can't seem to find it anymore - anyone know what they've put in it's place? I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 Laptop with a custom install - all networking options are installed. Also, I have webmin installed and tried to change the ip from dynamic to static in there, but it failed saying "device '' not found" which was odd. I switch between static ip and dynamic ip networks and just can't get it to work now.

It was installed from the beginning on my FC4 system. Are you sure you don't have it?
have you tried typing rpm -q netconfig ? You might also try to find the package through google, try netconfig + fedora core 4 If all else fails try this URL: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...os/Fedora/RPMS Hope this helps, Kurt |
dhcp
Sorry, I forgot to add that while I am not famillar with webmin, the way to change your connection method in fedora is to become root and then type setup Kurt
