Fedora Core 4 - Inspiron 8600 Wireless
 

I am trying to get the Wireless adapter in my Dell Inspiron 8600 working and having no such luck. Here is some basic information about the system and what I have done so far:

lspci shows:

iwconfig eth1 shows:

rpm's installed for this job:
ipw2100-firmware-1.3-5.at.noarch.rpm
ipw2100-1.1.0-31.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm
ipw2100-kmdl-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4-1.1.0-31.rhfc4.at.i686.rpm

After a reboot here is what I get in /var/log/messages about the ipw2100 driver:

Same problem for me too...just replace dell 8600 with dell inspiron 600m.
