Fedora Core 3 Error While Logging In

Hi, I keep getting an error while logging onto Fedora Core 3 and was wondering if anyone could help? I get a popup box when I log on saying
Quote:

"Could not look up internet address for xx-x-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx. This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly. It may be possible to correct the problem by adding xx-x-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx to the file /etc/hosts."
Then I can click 'login anyway' and it logs me in. I added what it said to add to /etc/hosts and I still get the popup while trying to log in. Anyone have any idea what this error is and how I can fix it?

Regards,
Chris

This is what my /etc/hosts looks like:

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

I did have an IP address error (different from yours) during bootup until I had set up the internet connection.

Im am still struggling with Linux, so others are bound to have a better solution.
Cheers, Antonia
