Fedora Core 3 and Sata Raid0
Hi Guys
I have a bit of a problem when trying to create a dual boot system with Windows XP and Fedora Core3
I have an Athlon 64 processor and a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum motherboard. I have two 120GB Maxtor SATA drives set up in a Raid 0.
Windows XP Pro and Windows XP Pro 64bit are current installed on this system and working fine. I now have 40-50GB free (cant remember exactly how much) and would like to install Fedora Core3
The distro is the DVD version for 64bit CPUs. I have scanned/tested disk with Fedoras built in Test feature and the disk tests out fine ( i have installed it without raid before using same disk).
The problem is when installation commences and tries to partition my drives, either in Automatic or Manual partitioning, The Anaconda installer says it cannot find a partition table, and that the entire drive will have to be wiped in order to continue installing. I also noticed that it seems to be detecting two drives, sda and sdb , so therefore it is not detecting my raid0 setup , only the seperate drives.
Do i need to use a floppy like in windows installation , were it asks for the F6 drivers disk? or do i need to use a switch/command in the anaconda installer for it to recongnise my drives as 1 raid drive.
Any help would gratefully appreciated.
