Fedora broken packagage manager
Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of a problem with the package manager in Fedora Core1. I am currently using version redhat-config-packages-1.2.7-1. This is not the one that comes with Fedora, but the updated one.
My problem is that is seems as the package manager doesn't know what is and what is not installed. When installing Fedora for the first time I didn't install any games (for example) and yet the package manager shows them as installed. When I try to remove them it says that some packages are missing, and until those are not installed, it cannot do anything.
Furthermore I am writing this through KDE. According to the package manager, I do not have KDE installed.
Does anybody know a way to fix this? And are there other package managers available out on the net? (I found Red Carpet and GnoRPM but Red Carpet doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for and GnoRPM has been deserted.)
Thanx
