fedora as a router to limit bandwidth

Hello,

So I have a basic knowledge of Fedora, I have a LAMP stack on my box and I was wondering how to setup a router? My roomate is using too much bandwidth on his Nextflix, what's the best way to do this?

Hi,

Have two LAN cards in your system. One connected to your ISP and second one you use for internet sharing(Local Lan).Connect the output of second LAN to switch and you get internet shared.

Squid as transparent proxy:

Now configure squid for bandwidth throttling.

remember in delay pools over squid you have only control over downloads trafic and not over uploads trafic, be careful
if you need something serius search about: CBQ or HTB or Prometheus !!

Well my roommate has Netflix, I've tried QoS and that didn't seem to work very well so... What do you suggest?
