I have Fedora 9 i386 in my notebook, and I want to upgrade to Fedora 12, and I know upgradation is not possible . So i am planning to do a fresh installation. So the question here is that . I have my grub installed in the MBR , with Debian entry to it. Will i be able to overwrite the MBR at the time of the installation and can manually edit the menu.lst . Because I have noticed like if there is a grub already installed in the MBR , over writing the MBR with another distro is not possible. Here I am using the same distro. So just curious to know will I be able to overwrite.
The Fedora installer will install the Fedora version of grub but it probably won't pick up on the fact that Debian is installed. You'll need to manually add Debian to the boot menu.
