Dear readers,

I've tried to search the questions here but i can't find the similiar one,
sorry as i know my question can be very funny.

i've downloaded the flash plug-in and when i try to install it by typing

Quote:
rpm -i flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386.rpm
then i receive this:

Quote:
[root@adamserver Download]# rpm -i flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libX11.so.6 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
libXext.so.6 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
libXt.so.6 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
libfontconfig.so.1 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
libfreetype.so.6 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
libglib-2.0.so.0 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
libgobject-2.0.so.0 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 is needed by flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386
[root@adamserver Download]# rpm -i flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386.rpm
I'm note sure is this because i didn't install the C compiler? or can someone let me know what is the reason behind?

Obviously a package not fitting Fedora 9. Please see this info:
http://hacktux.com/fedora/9/flash

Rgds
PS: Adobe flash is not to be compiled, no need for 'gcc'

Why don't you try doing "yum install flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386.rpm" without the quotes. At the least it will give you the dependencies that you're missing.
