Fedora 9 Sulpher, I have it on 3 CDs, what is on the 2nd and 3rd CD, software or drivers?

I want to get legacy drivers going in virtual box, NVIDIA, and wireless card.

I hear NVIDIA supplies all it's own drivers, but mine was faulty and I had to repair X Server in safe mode.

I will see when I install them in virtual box.

I also want to use youtube, and need know the install media method for Fedora.

With Mint, Elyssa, 5, is the main build, on which their is a maintenence and upgrade focus by the manufacturer, which Fedora release is so?

fedora 9 is past it's End of Life there is no longer any support for it .
what is your 3d card ??? The legacy drivers for the geforce 2 to 4 are the 96 drivers and can be found on the nvidia web site. the 171 is for the very old tnt cards .

as for the wireless ....
Install fedora 11 and that should be solved.

Fedora 11 live CD could not run it either.

I tried the NVIDIA site, but my downloader is stuck using document viewer to open stuff. How do I change that?

for the unsupported fedora 9 you will need to get the last ( and matching to your running kernel) the kernel-devel and header rpm's AND the gcc compiler from the fedora historical Archives a very BIG PAIN IN THE A$$ to do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fedora 11 did not drive my NVIDIA card.

"Open with" leads to a complex search for programs in Linux.

you do NOT use "open with" you use save to
the nvidia driver is a binary INSTALLER

make sure you have the kernel-devel installed
the driver IS NOT INSTALLED when you install the os . It SHOULD be installed from the rpmfusion repo AFTER YOU INSTALLL fedora . see danger mouses help page
