Fedora 8 won't recognise it's own install disk

To best explain what is happening I have listed the
process that I have done a few times now:

0 I place the Fedora 8 disk into the DVD drive.
0 I open up the disk in a new window, select the package
that I want to install (I've tried this with a few to be sure).
0 A window pops up asking if I want to install the software and
I click 'OK'.
0 The program installing this (system-config-packages I believe)
then says that there are a list of dependencies and ask to
install those also. I click 'OK'
0 Window pops-up demanding that I "insert Fedora Core 8 (disk 1)".

Does anybody have a clue what is going on?

Is Fedora 8 already installed ? If so why did you not use ADD/remove software ?

Yes, that's how I got that far.

I get the same problem that way, though it seems to work about 5% of the time.

Sorry I haven't replied earlier. My machine isn't connected to the web most of the time
so I usually forget big things like this when I am online.
