Fedora 8 i386.iso boot failed

when I download the fedora8 iso the file was zipped but after finished the file automatic turn into iso(unzipped). I dunno what happen and i tried to unzip it the linux files appeared...zzzzz
so that means the iso file was automatic unzipped??? When i burn it the file still appear as ISO file but the booting failed....

The download of the fedora8.iso was done in XP .

it sounds like you copied the file as a normal file, rather than burnt it as an image. if you check our tutorial site then you can see details on how best to correctly burn an iso file in windows. also there are good docs at linuxiso.org last time i looked.
