When I was playing with Beryl (before is became fusion), one of the desktop effects was the ability to show all of your open windows in one spot. Similar to the Mac effect when you bump the upper right hand of the screen with the mouse. Are you still able to do that with the current desktop effect?
I think you're talking about Scale..but anyway, it's there, even if it wasn't called "Scale". You can enable it and alter it's configuration easily if you have installed the (graphical) control panel for compizfusion.
