Question Fedora 6.2 doesnt boot properly on Pavillion dv6225us

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi,
Ive installed Fedora 6.2 successfully on my Pavillion dv6225us notebook with dual boot to Windows XP.

When I boot to fedora, the moment the Login screen should appear the screen blanks out, no mouse, no comand is accepted.

I have been able to boot linux before, only now the problem appeared.

PS.:
When I booted the installation DVD I had some problems. The boot froze and said it had fixed sth related to multiple CPUs...but I tried to boot again and it worked fine....

Notebook hardware specs:
-AMD Turion X2 1.6GHz
-1 GB RAM
-GeForce Go 6125 256 MB Extended Memory
-Wireless
-Gigabit Ethernet
-CD/DVD burning drive
-nForce chipset(motherboard)

thanks for the attention.

try those commands as your boot parameters: noapic noirqdebug

It will help booting fedora correctly.

Wait for GRUB to come up, select the Fedora line and press E. Select the "vmlinuz" line and press E again. Append the arguments and save by pressing Enter. Press B to boot.

Note: this can be automated if it works so that you don't have to go through this same routine on every (re)boot.
