Fedora 6 Bootable DVD from ISO images

hello

Ive made a bootable DVD from the 3.28 GB ISO image.
But when i try to install Fedora 6, it asks for a bootable diskette in a floppy drive. Mine isnt working.

Can anyone suggest me the alternative??

You will need to change the BIOS settings to boot from CD/DVD rather than floppy.

I changed it.
The first option is DVD and second Floppy.
But it doesnt boot from DVD and goes to DOS prompt DrDOs.
and shows :
A:>
I didnt know what to do

Does the DVD work in any other computer? You may have a faulty DVD burn there.

The md5 chksum doesnt match. & whenever I download I get the same chksum. What to do??

try .torrent file. automatic checksum checking during download

The Fedora ISO's use "sha1sum" not "md5sum".
If you are using Linux and the DVD.iso is in your home directory you would open a terminal and enter eg:

Code:

$ sha1sum DVD.iso

and after a short period of time depending on the size of the .iso you will get the result in the terminal.

If you are using Windows to check the DVD.iso you will need a utility such as "HashCalc" to get the "sha1sum".
