Hi,

I cannot mount my cdrom under Fedora 3. I have checked /etc/fstab and the drive is shown as;

/dev/hdc /media/cdrecorder auto pamconsole,fscontext=system_ubject_r:removable_t,exec,noauto,managed 0 0

It is displayed as a cd recorder which is fine when I want to copy to it but when I put an ordinary cd in to it it won't show the contents of the cd. I get the following error when trying to browse the contents;

[mntent]: line 10 in /etc/fstab is bad
mount: block device /dev/hdc is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: /dev/hdc already mounted or /media/cdrecorder busy
Please check that the disk is entered correctly.

Do I need to add it to /etc/fstab as an ordinary cdrom drive too or should it mount as it is?

Hi I have the same problems, but after I updated to kernel 2.6.9-724 it seams to work somehow better, but I still get read only errors, and mount errors as you, but that is not that frequent with the new kernel.
