OK, I went to the VLC webpage and downloaded
videolan-client-0.8.1-1.1.fc3.rf.x86_64.rpm
This is not an offcial FC3 package....

I try to "rpm -ivh" it and got lots of dependencys, so I try:

"yum localinstall videolan-client-0.8.1-1.1.fc3.rf.x86_64.rpm"

this didn't install it but got de dependencies archives, it didn install those either but I was able to install them from /var/cache/yum/freshrpms/packages

Then a installed VLC from the rpm I downloaded, but when a run the program I get this error message:

Quote:
VLC media player 0.8.1 Janus
[00000001] main vlc error: no memcpy module matched "any"
[00000016] main interface error: no interface module matched "hotkeys, none"
[00000016] main interface error: no suitable intf module
[00000001] main vlc error: interface "hotkeys, none" initialization failed
[00000017] main interface error: no interface module matched "any"
[00000017] main interface error: no suitable intf module
[00000001] main vlc error: interface "(null)" initialization failed
So now I wonder what's wrong...
I'm I missing some coniguartion stuff before running it??

Have somebody make it through this...??

Got it to work with the following command...

vlc --plugin-path=/usr/lib64/vlc
