Fedora 18 mouse scrolling is overly sensitive
Actually this problem goes back a few versions, but I have yet to find a solution.
The scrolling action using the mouse wheel is way too fast. I managed to find a solution for this for Firefox, but that still leaves this function useless for Open Office, etc. The Mouse/Touchpad settings in System Settings does not offer a wheel adjustment, nor do the Advanced Settings. Is there a way of dealing with this problem via the terminal? |
Hi!
And Welcome to Linux Questions!;) I did some searching and found a few good links to some possible ways to solve the issue with your mouse. This first one looks good- Lowering Mouse Sensitivity in Ubuntu and Fedora http://patrickmylund.com/blog/loweri...n-ubuntu-9-10/ http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5...eclick-in-bash http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7...ement-in-linux Hope this helps;) |

It was worth a shot though, thank you |
Your very Welcome;)

It's probably a proprietary issue- You could try (of course you'll have to make a new purchase) a Logitech or another standard mouse. Best Regards |
