Fedora 14 freezing critically on suspend

I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with Fedora 14 freezing when trying to suspend the system?
It does for me, not always, but seemingly randomly. Either the screen will go black, but system will keep running. Or, I will get the shutting-down screen (Fedora logo on a blue background) staying indefinetly. In either case, I can do nothing to get back in the system, and the only solution is a manual reboot.

Anyone else had this problem? How did you work around it?

I am running an HP Probook 4510, with the following relevant specs. System is otherwise stable and up to date.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16
Intel HD 4500

I don't use Fedora but...

Sadly this sort of behaviour is common, since power managing is a real pain on non-Apple PCs...

I have 4510s, but with ATI graphics. Suspend was almost always failing for me, and I thought that I should try and uninstall the ATI fglrx(catalyst) driver, and it worked. No more freezing and rebooting.

I hope this helps someone in need! :)
