Fedora 12-X64: Intel Pro 3945 WLAN on Compaq C700 Inactive

Installed F12 from CD, no errors reported. Also ran 'yum update' and installed more than 900 updates/patches. So this thing is as new as I know now to make it.

When I run system-config-network, wlan0 is inactive. The [Enable] and [Disable] buttons are grayed out. The laptop has a separate hardware switch that turns on/off the wireless card. Pressing this button at all points of the boot cycle does not turn on the LED. I cannot enable the wireless card. I've tried every combination of pressing the button and using the network manager.

Is there a configuration file for this where I can manually configure this device apart from the graphical utility? What repos do I need to install this card? Please don't make me install XP on this thing. F12 runs REALLY fast on this thing. Help me to make it work.

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year y'all.
