Question Fedora 12 freezes on using Eclipse

I am using Eclipse 3.4(Ganymede) with Fedora 12.

The Problem is when I clean or build any project in Eclipse, the system freezes. Even in System monitor the CPU History Graph and other graphs stops.

But strangely when I move the mouse or press any button, the system works properly for a minute or so and then the system freezes again.

**Below are my Specs:**
Fedora 12(Constantine)
Kernel Linux 2.6.31.5-127.fc12.i686.PAE
GNOME 2.28.0
Intel i3 processor @ 3.20GHz
4 GB RAM

Can you please help.

I got searching around and there seems to be a bug - https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=299220

Can you try using "export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true" before you run eclipse in a terminal and see what happens?

thanks Josh.

Even after using "export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true" I am having the same problem. Will using software update on Fedora12 solve the problem.

What do you mean using software update?

If Fedora have fixed this bug, they would have provided it as a patch.
So what I am asking is that, would updating Fedora using "System > Preferences > Software Updates" solve the problem?

My Fedora is not at all updated as my Linux machine dosent have internet access.
