Question Fedora 11 logout keeps gnome session open?

I have noticed when I log out of Fedora 11 the IM accounts I use in pidgin stay logged in leading me to believe the session doesn't really log out but does a user switch-type action instead. I have also noticed my keychain keys don't require me to reauthenticate which reinforces my notion.

Is this a known thing and I am just not seeing it? Is it fixable?

Hey Ghostwheel,

Just tried it on my Fed 11.. opened a term, logged in as root and did a 'ps -u me'. Pidgin process is definitely dead after logout, only 2 processes were still running as me: pulseaudio and gconf-helper

Not sure if this actually helps you though...

fedora, gnome, logout
