This is the problem i had in fc11, flash did not work properly and sound was not working.remove pulse audio and removed Firefox. Installed sea monkey. After i had done that. Went back and installed Firefox and pulse audio. It works fine now have sound and the browser that i like. Seen a lot of workarounds. But, wanted a simpler solution, this worked for me and maybe many others.
When extracting the flash library, be sure that after you copy it to the mozilla plugins directory, reset the owner and group permissions. The tar archive I grabbed had this owner and group:
# tar tvf libflashplayer-10.0.32.18.linux-x86_64.so.tar
-rwxr-xr-x buildmeister/labuser 9560488 2009-07-18 00:04 libflashplayer.so
My problem was resolved when these permissions were changed to root:root and the Firefox page was reloaded.
At this point you should probably be using the 64-bit flash on 64-bit
systems. Here are my notes from when I did it. Caution the pathnames
on adobe's site may have changed a bit.
