Fedora 10 alongside Vista - Please help the noob

Hi all, I downloaded Fedora 10 64-bit KDE version yesterday and want to install it alongside my existing Vista installation on my laptop.

I've dual booted with Suse before and had no problems due to its simple installation system but am not sure about Fedora. Could anyone please tell me if it is easy to setup for dual booting as I don't want to risk losing any of my files.

i set mine up yesterday dual booting with win xp pro 64. it's real simple. just tell it you want to manually manage the partitions. and don't overwrite your ntfs partition. but if you don't have blank partition space, you'll probably need to resize the disk partitions with gparted or some kind of bootable partition tool. i'm not sure what tools the f10 live disc comes with. it may have it.

but if you still have your suse partitions on the drive, it should be no sweat. just format and write to the existing linux partitions.

I used the windows disk management system to partition 40 gigs that I could use for the fedora install then reset the machine with the install disk. Now the install disk doesn't want to work at all which is weird. I've just borrowed GParted off a mate in Uni to format that 40 gigs to a linux partition which I hope the Fedora Install setup will find.

Edit:
Well I finally got it all working and have to say that I'm pretty happy with Fedora 10 at the moment. I have no idea why I had the problems earlier, but for some reason after burning off a second disc the installation was able to be done. It did take 2 attempts however as the installation encountered an unexpected error the first time round and had to be aborted.
