fc8 from live cd heats up laptop
I booted my thinkpad x60 from fc8 live cd today and found that the area above cpu got very hot. On windows i could hardly feel it. Is this a known issue with fc8/live cd/linux on thinkpad? Will this go away after a hard drive install?
I was going to do the hard drive install, but now am not so sure. Is there something I can look into?
Fedora 8, Laptop Improvements
That is so strange. Fedora 8 has some laptop improvements, which include not only better battery management, but also fixes some problems of hibernating/suspending.
Have you tried another Live-CD? Do you have the same problem?
I think it is an interesting problem, because I am using Fedora 7 and I am planning to make a fresh install of Fedora 8, but possibly I will wait.
