FC6 wont install...

I can't get the fedora core installation cd to run. I currently have slackware on the machine. I downloaded fedora 6 but when I insert installation cd 1, the machine scans the cdrom then preceeds to load slackware.

This happened when I installed slack 11 in place of slack 10. I at the time had to download a installation aid to force the install.

Anyone any suggestions on how to get the loader recognized by my system.

**The system has been set to load from CDRom.***

hi, guarantee you this has nothing to do with the burn of the iso image. It has to do with the current bootloader, which is slack lilo.
