I'm trying to upgrade FC4 to FC6, but it just won't work. I get as far as Anaconda starting, but then it just stalls and sits there. I have tried not using the graphic interface and a few other options for the command line, but still no luck. FC4 installs OK on this same machine
I have also tried a clean install but absolutely no difference. I downloaded the ISO files and burnt the CDs. The pre-install says the disks are OK. However I downloaded again (via a different ISP) and burnt new CDs but still no luck.
Anybody have any ideas I could try. My System is a P3, 256MB RAM, 40GB HDD and a GEForce2 video card. The Video card is correctly identified at the
start of the install.
However I still can't get it to work. I tried acpi=off, mode=vesa, ide=nodma, apm=off, nofb and all combinations of these at the boot prompt but still no luck.
