FC6: installing new drive via system-config-lvm

Folks:

Has anyone here tried to use system-config-lvm to intialize a second hard disk and set it up for LVM? This utility seems to be broken, at least for me. Has anyone here found the same thing? I cannot set up the filesystem, set up a new VG, or set the mount point, for example. The menus to do these things simply never appear, and in FC5, everything works perfectly.

Thanks.
