FC6 - General starting issues, HIDP and AutoFS "Failed"

Some of the messages I'm seeing when the system boots are to the effect of "Can't open HIDP control..." and "Loading AutoFS4 failed".

I get to a login screen and am able to login to the system, then immediately I get an error about the sound system and the network interface is no longer present or identified by the system...

I think the last thing I installed was ivtv drivers for my capture card but am unable to remove them now that my NIC is dead, I could use some assistance from someone with more experience on Linux than I do.

You have listed many different problems.
First of all HIDD is for bluetooth (could be ignored)
I think autofs is only required for removable disks, however you may want to look into this.

Sound system, unrelated to the above, you will need look up your sound card to see if it supported by ALSA.

Network: what type of NIC do you have?

Removing ivtv should have nothing to do with the NIC. How did you install ivtv? You will have to remove in the similar fashion you installed.

You need to isolate each problem and provide more details (hardware info, setup, etc.).

I did a litte research about the HIDD and autofs so I'm with you on fixing those seperately, since everything was working I'm assuming this came about due to some upgrade?

The NIC is built onboard it's an EPoX EP-8RDA3+, I tried slipping in a #com card to see if the system would allow me to set it up but it also didn't go well...
