FC6 firefox hangs with "expr: syntax error"


After upgrading to FC6, my Firefox starting hanging up on some sites. It produced this endless loop of error messages in the terminal window -

expr: syntax error

The problem is tied to Adobe. The fix is adding an * to the config file. See the link below for details.
