FC5, vsftpd and Virtual Users

I've had a bit of a look around and can't find the exact scenario / how to do this.

The company I work for creates relativly large amounts of files on a per project basis, these need to be distributed to clients, contractors etc.

We want to be able to provide FTP access on a per project basis to these files.

Each project only really needs a single user (or perhaps 2 - admin and user)

We don't really want to set up full users on the server for each project. Virtual users seem the correct way to go.

Each user probably wants to be linked to a "project dir" as their root.

One of the things I don't understand in the examples is the usage of berkely db for user admin...

Any tips?

Dan
