FC5 + Apache2 + PHP 5.1.2.5 problem

I have installed Apache2 and PHP 5.1.2.5 (from rpm packages) . I didnīt configured anything, but it seems that it works (I created some simple php script). I studied many configuration procedures, where is required to add lines "LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so" to httpd.conf. I havenīt got this line in my httpd.conf, even though it works. How is it possible?

Second problem:
Iīm not able to find file "info.php" anywhere in my installation. Where is it?

your httpd.conf usually (but not always) has a line at the bottom that goes something like...

LoadModules conf-extra/*.conf

It would be at the very very very end of the httpd.conf file.

This allows anything in the /etc/httpd/conf-extra directory to be loaded.

What goes in there are snippets of more httpd.conf style coding. For example, when you install squirrelmail from RPM, it dumps a "squirrel.conf" entry into the conf-extra directory.

I probably have the directory names wrong, but you get the idea.

There are only two ways to get PHP working dude -- 1 is to load it as a module. 2 is to dump it in the hard way (about 3 or 4 lines of httpd.conf info). I haven't done it the hard way since I switched to linux, but under windows, the damn module never worked.

I would suggest installing PHP from yum rather than from rpm -- we're up to version 5.8 or something now dude.
