LOTS and lots of MP3 players. Xmms, amaroK, even from the command line, mpg123, just bunches. Note that FC is distributed with xmms, but the mp3 player plug-in is not there. It's easy to find, though, in rpm format.

You can get the xmms-mp3 rpm at Livna: http://rpm.livna.org/configuration.html

Follow the instructions about installing the livna-release rpm and then run from the terminal:

yum install xmms*

You might want to install the GUI frontend to yum while you are at it:

yum install yumex

See this FAQ. All of the packages mentioned are available from Livna.

Dunce-cap mode engaged...

Okay, I _think_ I've followed all the instructions for getting the livna repo in my yum set-up. BUT....when I say "yum list available xmms*" I do _not_ get xmms-mp3! Would someone _please_ show me the error of my ways?

Thanks in advance,
Anne.

I don't think the term "available" is needed. It's there, I just made sure of it. Try this:
yum install xmms-mp3. Or, if you just want to look at it, try yum list |grep xmms. That will get you every xmms related package. To capture that list into a file, for future reference, try yum list >packages.txt.
