Since i thought it was smart to have FC4 installed from a dvd, and not from four CD's, I downloaded the FC4-x86_64-DVD.iso and burned a dvd. When I'm trying to install my computer with this dvd, I get a popup menu to choose installation source. The items are the following: (It free from memory, i believe there was five choises)

local cdrom
hard drive
nfs
ftp
http

Of course I choose cdrom, but after a couple of seconds the dvd is ejected, and the machine claims that dvd doesn't contain a valid installation cd.

Does anybody got an idea of how to use this installation dvd ?

where downloaded?official mirror?
seems your image has no bootimage....?!
perhaps via remote install (RIS,unattend,....) should do the trick?!

I know it sounds stupid, but have you actually tried booting from your DVD? (pop-up messaje sounds like you are already in some OS).

If yes, are you aware that to make a CD bootable you normally need to choose a special option of your burner? (burn iso image or something like that)

PS I'm actually looking for a way to convert my FC4 DVD into CDs (my old desktop hasn't got DVD drive).
