Misc, do you know if there are plans to fix the shutdown view of the computer? On previous cores one could see the steps of the shutdown processes and the steps being taken. For me not only was that good information to know, but it also makes the shutdown seem to go much quicker. Windows, by contrast, seems to be taking forever on a stupid blue screen. With core 1 and 2 of Fedora I could see what the computer was busy doing.
I don't know if others agree with me, but this would be something great to bring back.
Pardon, I may have used the wrong word when I said fix. What I mean is, you how when Fedora boots up you can see the precesses starting up and an "ok" or "failed"? I used to be able to see the equivalent of that when I shut down, but since upgrading to FC3, this no longer happens. When I shut down it becomes black until right before it shuts down the hda.
Or did you understand what I meant and are asking me to file a complaint through bugzilla?
misc my man do you know on FC3 how to make it always assume I've presses show details when loading init 5?and is it possible to change that picture just above that button
I haven't filed a bug because I didn't know it was a bug. I thought that's how it was. I was just hoping to change it, so I should submit through bugzilla?

You could apply this patch file to /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit and modify the images in /usr/share/rhgb. The patch inserts "rhgb-client -d yes" in line 232 of the file:
10x so much I really hated that to press d and you know the stupid PC png, u're doing a great job to help out people like me who are fan's since RH5 and I'm a little bit disappointed that information, packages and repositories are not so "stable" for Fedora so far, hope this improves in future! sorry to bother u again but can u help me how to make console with more lines/columns
ps - I would probably never find that +rhgb option 10x again

Well, you could disable graphical boot alltogether as some people do. Just edit /etc/grub/grub.conf and delete the "rhgb" kernel option.

It's off-topic in this thread. So next time you better start a new topic.
If you are familiar with editing /etc/grub/grub.conf, go ahead and append option "vga=ask" to the kernel parameters line. Then reboot and read what comes up on the screen. If you are not familiar with editing GRUB's config, reboot straight away, then press the 'A' key in GRUB's boot menu. Append "vga=ask" there, which will be used just temporarily for the next boot.
Pick a video solution you like and make it permanent in grub.conf by inserting its number instead of "ask". Another thing you will need to edit is the default console font in /etc/sysconfig/i18n. Which one to choose exceeds this message.

You are not supposed to insert the + character. That's just part of the patch file format. When you don't use the patch program, but apply the changes manually, don't insert the +. That would give an error.
I wasn't intending to be off topic but in the hurry... it happened... anyway I'll start new topics from now on I appreciate the respond because I kind of late realised it's not the place to ask (this topic) and thought no reply will come for that reason
