FC3 x86_64 and Qt libs

Hello,

I am having some problems configuring a program under FC3 x86_64, configure says it can not find Qt 2.2.2 or higher as required, though I have Qt 3.3 installed on the system. I also ran configure with the --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib64/qt-3.3, --with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib64/qt-3.3 and --with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/lib flags, none of them with any luck. configure keeps giving this error:

Code:
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 2.2.2) (libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
The end of config.log doesn't help much though.

Code:
configure:5666: checking for Qt
configure: 5730: /usr/lib/qt-3.3/include/qstyle.h
configure: 5730: /usr/lib64/qt-3.3/include/qstyle.h
taking that
configure:5840: rm -rf SunWS_cache; c++ -o conftest -O2 -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -I/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/include -I/usr/X11R6/include  -D_REENTRANT  -L/usr/lib/qt-3.3/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib64   conftest.C  -lqt -lpng -lz -lm -ljpeg  -lXext -lX11 -lSM -lICE  -lresolv 1>&5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lqt
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
configure: failed program was:
#include "confdefs.h"
#include <qglobal.h>
#include <qapplication.h>
#include <qevent.h>
#include <qstring.h>
#include <qstyle.h>
#include <qiconview.h>
#if ! (QT_VERSION >= 222)
#error 1
#endif

int main() {
    QStringList *t = new QStringList();
    QIconView iv(0);
    iv.setWordWrapIconText(false);
    QString s;
    s.setLatin1("Elvis is alive", 14);
    int magnolia = QEvent::Speech; /* new in 2.2 beta2 */
    return 0;
}
I am wondering what I am overlooking here

Looks like configure is searching for libqt.so, which apparently doesn't exist in Qt 3.3. I don't know if this would work, but you might try

# ln -s /usr/lib64/qt-3.3/lib/libqt.so /usr/lib64/qt-3.3/libqt-mt.so.3.3.4

Then retry the configure.

What about adding /usr/lib64/qt-3.3/lib to LD_LIBRARY_PATH?
