after i installed and updated FC3 i was unable to start system-config-securitylevel!
after starting the gui from user-desktop the "rootpasswd-popup" appears ...then nothing

/var/log/secure shows:

pam_timestamp: timestamp file `/var/run/sudo/username/unknown:root' has unacceptable age (777 seconds), disallowing access to system-config-securitylevel for UID 500

userhelper[4368]: pam_timestamp: updated timestamp file `/var/run/sudo/username/unknown:root'

userhelper[4373]: running /usr/share/system-config-securitylevel/system-config-securitylevel.py' with root privileges on behalf of 'username'

who can help?

I don't know that the problem lies in SELinux. Open up a terminal and type "su" to get root access. Then type system-config-securitylevel. I've had the same problem with that (it may have been some other system-config- program) and that is how I got around it.

ehm....system-config-securitylevel NEEDS root access! as a normal user u could not start the programm (like many others).
but the problem was, when I started it from a user DESKTOP, NOT under the rights of a user!!!

just now i updated the new packages
libselinux-1.19.1-8 and
system-config-securitylevel 1.4.18-2

and it works again! ;-)
