Hola all,
I've installed FC3 on a dual opteron 246, iwill DK8S2-Sata mobo, 8Gb mem.
Right after the os chooset screen it starts to load the kernel then reboots. After the reboot it will boot up fine. Howver it needs to boot right he first time!!
This problem only occurs with over 4Gb mem.
FC2 boot fine.
Any suggestions!!!!
p.s. this happens with both 2.6.5 and 2.6.10-1.12

You may need to recompile your kernel or check that your kernel is actually preconfigured to use memory over 4gb. Seacrch the Fedora forum and google, I am sure something similar to this was asked a few weeks ago on this site.
heh, this is the head node for a 60 node cluster.
Hence the need for 8Gb ram. We have graphics workstations with 16Gb ddr2...just to make you drool.....he
