It drops to the graphical login screen. I'm using KDE, althought I did install gnome to try it out a while ago. This is the first and only time its happened.
The funny thing is, just before it dropped, another screen flashed up momentarily which seemed to look like a gnome session (the background at least was the one I had in gnome anyway).
with the default installation on an amd duron 1200 + gigabyte board (?) i have the phenomenon that logout from KDE as root everything is ok, but as a user the screen turns black and nothing happens.no chance to do anything. network is also down.
havenīt tried if this prob exists with the current X11-updates.
