FC3 apt dependancy problem
Help, I recently insalled Fedora Core 3 x86-64 and installed apt from the dag.wieers site. When I ran apt-get install it came up with lines and lines of dependancy problems of things. I'll post an example:
libart_lgpl#2.3.16-3: Depends: libc.so.6 Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) Depends: libm.so.6 Depends: libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) libbonobo#2.8.0-2: Depends: libORBit-2.so.0 Depends: libORBitCosNaming-2.so.0 Depends: libc.so.6 Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1) libgnomecups: Depends: libdbus-1.so.0()(64bit) Depends: libglib-2.0.so.0()(64bit) Depends: libgobject-2.0.so.0()(64bit) Depends: libgthread-2.0.so.0()(64bit) libgnomeprint22: Depends: libart_lgpl_2.so.2()(64bit) etc, etc, etc. apt-get -f install like gets rid of 400 packages including apt Solutions anyone? |
Sounds like you might need to install the development libraries for glibc, that might fix the problem, if not post back.

Don't use Apt-RPM on x86_64. It's not multi-lib safe. Use Yum.
