FC3 apt dependancy problem

Help, I recently insalled Fedora Core 3 x86-64 and installed apt from the dag.wieers site. When I ran apt-get install it came up with lines and lines of dependancy problems of things. I'll post an example:

libart_lgpl#2.3.16-3: Depends: libc.so.6
Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0)
Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3)
Depends: libm.so.6
Depends: libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.0)
libbonobo#2.8.0-2: Depends: libORBit-2.so.0
Depends: libORBitCosNaming-2.so.0
Depends: libc.so.6
Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0)
Depends: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1)
libgnomecups: Depends: libdbus-1.so.0()(64bit)
Depends: libglib-2.0.so.0()(64bit)
Depends: libgobject-2.0.so.0()(64bit)
Depends: libgthread-2.0.so.0()(64bit)
libgnomeprint22: Depends: libart_lgpl_2.so.2()(64bit)

etc, etc, etc.

apt-get -f install like gets rid of 400 packages including apt

Solutions anyone?

Sounds like you might need to install the development libraries for glibc, that might fix the problem, if not post back.

Don't use Apt-RPM on x86_64. It's not multi-lib safe. Use Yum.
