FC3 and ipw2100 driver problem...

I have installed FC3 today, then after a clean installation a tried to make my ipw2100 wlan card work, but i encounter a problem, when the computer boot at the Fedora flash screen, the console said my eth1 does not exist, how can i slove the problem???

what i have done form a default clean installaion:
1.make and make install the ipw2100 driver
2.cp the ipw2100 firmware to /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/ (i mkdir myself because it doesnt exist before)

create the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 with the following content:

DEVICE=eth1
ONBOOT=yes
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
TYPE=Wireless

done...but the same error...

FYI

when i type iwconfig

eth1: no wireless extension

is that when the problem comes from???

make sure you give execution rights to the firmware files.

the firmware dir have bee changed to /lib/firmware...
