FC2 and unstable ATI Driver (Newest)


Installed the latest Drivers for AIT GC's, 9600 Pro. after re-compiling the kernal 3 times , finaly got it to work bit when I try to play Savage the models are corrupted and it throws me out after 3 mins or so, Any Ideas?.
agpgart is a pain as its intermittent as to it working (same for internal agp)?.
Aslo I cant seem to get the ATI Properties prog to run?....




Windows is to Linux as Intel is to AMD.

In Savage, you have to turn off "Extra Optimisations", that will stop corruption and crashes.

On the downside, that make the performance crap.

Thanks for that, works 100%, even better than under windoze. I now have another problem though, As soon as i enter a game all that I can do is spin around and around and around and around and around and around, and on i go, still moving forwards or backwards but spinning around......any clue?.

Edit savage.sh, so it looks something like this:


#!/bin/sh
# Needed to make symlinks/shortcuts work.
# the binaries must run with correct working directory
cd /home/tom/games/Savage_Demo
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=libs:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH SDL_VIDEO_X11_DGAMOUSE=0 SDL_MOUSE_RELATIVE=0 LD_LIBRARY_PATH=libs:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH ./savage.bin /home/tom/games/Savage_Demo
exit 0

Replace /home/tom/games with the path to your savage install obviously

Thanks again, done and fixed the proble, was running 2.00b. now i have another problem ~SOB SOB~, I updated to 2.00c and now all I get when connecting to servers is "Commander GUI not Configures Properly", I know this is an S2 question but any ideas?.
