Angry FC 6 not running after installation & can't find xorg.conf

I have exactly the same problem as posted before in this forum:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=534083

i.e., I have installed fedora 6 & now when i start it, my screen goes blank few seconds after that "Press I for interactive mode" message appears during startup.
But, unlike the solution posted before in that link i can't find xorg.conf file, I get a shell after entering rescue mode and when i enter 'cd /etc/X11' it shows there's no such file or directory, the same happens if I 'vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf'

What should i do? I have / and /home both as ext2 partition, no seperate /boot partition

Then boot the system into runlevel 3 and use the system-config-display to create one.

When the grub slpash screen is displayed press any key. Select the linux boot choice and press the 'e' key. Select the kernel line and press the 'e' key again. At the end of the line add a space followed by the number 3, when done press the 'Enter' key followed by the 'b' key. Log on as root and do something like;

Code:
system-config-display -- reconfig --set-depth=16 --set-resolution=1024x768
or; Xorg --configure

.
