FC 3 Can I boot to console login only?
I'm new to linux having only used knoppix off and on for a month and now Fedora. I installed Fedora Core 3 and I'm curious about if I can change the boot method.
Ideally I would like it to boot up without the Fedora graphical splash screen and only show the initilization in text and then sit at the login as: prompt. Right now it's displaying the Fedora splash screen while it boots, and then it loads gnome.
If I can change this can someone point me to either a howto or specifically where I would change it. Also how would I then get into gnome when I did want to use the GUI console?
Thanks.
