F8 compiz: window title bar covered by gnome-panel
Hi all,
I updated to F8 several days ago. For me, it was a virtually painless upgrade.
I have enabled Desktop Effects, but I encountered one hiccup: when a new application is opened, the window is opened in the top left-hand corner of the screen, and title bar is obscured by gnome-panel.
This does not happen with Desktop Effects disabled.
My temporary workaround is to enable the hide buttons so I can temporarily reach the title bar and move the window on the visible desktop space.
Anyone else seen this?
Video card: nvidia GeForce 7100 GS which I run at 1280x1024

I get the same (Intel 915, 1024x768) and have implemented the same workaround as you.
Additionally, I've lost the feature where if I move the pointer to the top right of my screen, I get a preview of all open windows. I don't know what it's called but I used it all the time and miss it now it's gone. Any ideas?
