F10 x86_64 installation with Sound Blaster Live card driver (emu10k) not functioning

I'm running a MSI K9N2 Diamond Mobo with a nVidia Geforce 9800 GTX, my processor is an AMD Phenom II x4 940 Black Edition (3 GHz), currently one, soon to be two 500 Gb SATA internals, and a Sound Blaster Live card I got from a friend. Everything works perfectly, except the audio. I looked through dmesg and found the emu10k driver being active because at my friends' suggestions. I've also tried uninstalling and disabling pulseaudio multiple times, but when I go into alsamixer, it still says that pulseaudio is the default device. I searched this forum and many others, and while I found many solutions to this problem on this forum, all of them are for older, non-x86_64 versions. Plus on top of the problem of not having my version, I have tried most every solution I've found on the web, and to no avail. Any and all help is appreciated, there were no error messages in direct conjunction with the sound card, but if anyone feels that I haven't given enough information, I can post a full spec. of my computer and I could post a link to a pastebin of my lspci. Again, any help to be offered is highly appreciated. I have a great system, and speakers aren't excluded from that analysis, but if sound doesn't function, then how high-quality the speakers are doesn't make a bit of difference.
